Woodcrest Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Mayville, New York.
Woodcrest Golf Course first opened for play in 1986 as a nine-hole course designed by John Wood. The course was expanded to 18 holes with the new nine designed by Martin VanVolkenberg.
This par 71 course was designed to incorporate the challenges produced naturally by this land. This course is situated on New York's rolling hillsides, complete with sand traps and water hazards. The front nine is tree lined and much narrower than the back nine, and the fairways are constructed over rolling terrain. The greens are small, averaging about 3,500 square feet, flat and moderate in speed. Water comes into play on at least four holes. There are three sets of tees. Blue tees are for the golfer who likes a long challenging course. White tees for the average player, and red tees for the person who wants to play a shorter course.
Woodcrest Golf Course plays to a par-71. The course measures 6,349 yards from the back tees and 4,948 yards from the forward tees. The longest hole is #11, a 629 yard par-5. The shortest hole at Woodcrest Golf Course is #13, a 159 yard par-3 from the back tees.

I always like playing the "Home Grown" courses because ALL golfers dream of "How I would Build" a golf course. It is a 18 hole track w/ the back being the better side. This is a nice hilly track with it's only blemish #11 for the landing area for the 2nd shot. Drive up and look at the yardage/area needed for a safe shot, there isn't one, enough said. Greens are small but in great shape and hold when hit w/ many nice views from the hilly terrian. Always stop about twice a year and play during the week (1pm - 2pm) and get 18 done in 2.5 - 3hrs shooting 79/32putts. Stop in, you'll enjoy it.
